Initial Setup
Ready to get started with your new phone system? We'll walk you through everything you need — from signing up to making your first call. Don't worry, it's easier than you might think.
Prerequisites
To use the phone system, you need:
- A FlyNumber account
- At least one FlyNumber configured to use the phone system
- The cloud phone system enabled on your account — a flat $14.95/month charge, regardless of how many FlyNumbers you attach to it (see Phone System Billing for the full pricing breakdown)
Enabling the phone system
You can enable the cloud phone system two ways:
- With a new FlyNumber order — at the routing step in the Add FlyNumber flow, select Cloud Phone System. The phone system is added to your account in the same checkout.
- Standalone (if you already have one or more FlyNumbers) — open the Phone System page and click Add Phone System. You'll pick the billing period and which existing FlyNumbers to route through it.

The phone system is a flat monthly fee that applies to your entire account ($14.95/mo). Adding more FlyNumbers to it doesn't change the price.
Accessing the phone system
Once the phone system is active on your account:
- Sign in to the panel at panel.flynumber.com
- Open Phone System from the sidebar
- Click Open Phone System to launch the phone system interface in a new tab
If you see "You are not authorized!" when opening the phone system, your session has likely expired or there's a browser cache issue. Refresh the page and sign in again. If the problem persists, clear your browser cache and cookies.
Routing more numbers through the phone system
- New numbers
- Existing numbers
When you add a new FlyNumber while the phone system is already active:
- Start the Add FlyNumber flow
- Pick the country / area code / specific number
- On the routing step, select Cloud Phone System
- Complete checkout — the new number is automatically connected to the phone system
To attach an existing FlyNumber that's currently forwarding elsewhere:
- Open the number from My FlyNumbers
- On the Call Handling card, switch the routing option to Cloud Phone System
- Save — the number appears under Connected Numbers on the Phone System page within a few seconds
If you've routed a number to the phone system but don't see it under Connected Numbers after a minute or two, contact support and we'll take a look.
