Virtual phone numbers from India
Get a local virtual phone number in India for just $34.95/month, or a toll-free number for $129.95/month.
We offer prefixes for major cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and more.
Please note: All India numbers are metered, meaning there is a per-minute incoming rate each time someone calls your number. This applies regardless of how you receive the call (VoIP, forwarding, etc.). India numbers are for incoming calls only and cannot be used for outbound calling.
Use any device or software
Any device can be used to receive calls with your FlyNumber.
- Any SIP or VoIP app on iOS or Android
- Mac, PC, or Linux computer
- Desktop office phone
- Any regular phone number (to receive calls)
- Any VoIP solution (e.g. Asterisk, 3CX, 3rd party VoIP)
Incoming per-minute rates
All India numbers (local and toll-free) are metered. Whenever someone calls your India phone number, a per-minute rate applies and is subtracted from your FlyNumber prepaid balance.
- This applies whether you answer via VoIP, call forwarding, or our cloud phone system.
- The rate depends on the caller's location and prefix.
- View the full per-minute rate table here.
Choose from 4 powerful ways to use your FlyNumber
1.) Use FlyNumber SIP to receive calls
- Receive calls with your India number in any SIP calling app from the app stores β Zoiper, Groundwire, Linphone and more β or on a desk phone. We help you set it up.
- Incoming calls are billed at a small per-minute incoming rate from your prepaid balance.
- Register up to 5 devices, with voicemail built in.
- India numbers are inbound-only β outbound calling isn't available. See the India-specific limitations.

2.) Forward the India phone calls to any standard phone number worldwide
- For an additional per min rate you can forward the India calls to any regular phone number in the world.
- You'll see the caller ID of the person calling your India FlyNumber on the phone you're forwarding to.
- Change the forwarding number anytime via the FlyNumber panel.
- Consider our optional cloud phone system to enhance call forwarding options.
3.) Set the India number directly to VoIP
- Set the India number directly to a SIP/VoIP address.
- High level call logs to help diagnose/debug any issues.
- Use any 3rd party VoIP provider or your own PBX system (Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX, etc.)
- In your FlyNumber panel this is the Forward to SIP / VoIP Address option.
4.) Use our (optional) cloud phone system
- An optional add-on: a full-featured cloud phone system for a flat $14.95 per month, covering your whole account.
- Add routing logic to your India FlyNumber β voice menus (IVR), ring groups, business hours, call recording, and up to 30 users.
- Quickly and easily configure the call flow on a digital grid type canvas.
- Usually you don't need it β one person with a softphone is better served by FlyNumber SIP.
Note
Switch between them any time from your FlyNumber panel. A fifth setting, Park the Number, stops the number ringing anywhere (callers hear busy) with no call charges.

Registration Requirements
To get started with an India number, we'll need a few details:
- For individuals: Your full name, a contact phone number, and a copy of your passport or government-issued ID.
- For businesses: Same as above, plus your company name, tax ID, and a copy of your company incorporation certificate.
- Address: A full address (can be from anywhere in the world) along with a copy of a utility bill from the last 6 months.
- Letter of Intent (LOI): An India-specific LOI is required β we'll provide this for you to sign once you complete the signup process.
