FAQ’s
Can I get SMS on my Morro Bay virtual phone number?
Yes, your Morro Bay FlyNumber can receive SMS — incoming texts are forwarded to your email for a small per-segment fee. You can also send personal, person-to-person texts to numbers outside the US — though delivery depends on the receiving carrier accepting texts from US numbers. Texting US numbers is coming soon and will run as A2P, the registered route US carriers require. Full list of SMS enabled numbers here.
Can I use my Morro Bay virtual number for 2FA or other verification services?
This really depends on the company/service sending the SMS to the FlyNumber; it's up to them to actually send the text. We can't guarantee 2FA or short code SMS will work. Texts from regular mobile phones should work fine though.
Can I use FlyNumber to manage calls for my Morro Bay surf shop?
Absolutely! Whether you're catching waves or teaching surfing, FlyNumber can help manage your calls efficiently. Use our cloud phone system to set up a call menu—perhaps 'Press 1 for surf lessons, 2 for shop hours'. Plus, route calls based on time; maybe forward to your mobile when you're out at the beach.
How can FlyNumber help me stay connected with tourists visiting Morro Bay?
FlyNumber makes it easy to connect with visitors from anywhere. Forward your virtual number to any mobile or landline across the globe. So, if a potential visitor calls from overseas to ask about local attractions like Morro Rock or the natural history museum, you can answer directly on your phone, wherever you are.
I run a seafood restaurant in Morro Bay; can FlyNumber handle high call volumes during peak dining hours?
Certainly! With FlyNumber, you can manage multiple calls by directing them to various extensions through our cloud PBX system. For example, callers can press 1 for reservations, 2 for takeout. This feature ensures you never miss a call, especially during those bustling dinner hours.
Will I be able to use my FlyNumber to make outgoing calls and maintain my local presence in Morro Bay?
Yes, you can make outgoing calls using your FlyNumber and show your Morro Bay number as the caller-ID. This is perfect for reaching out to local suppliers or residents without revealing your personal mobile number, maintaining your local business identity.
Does FlyNumber offer a solution for saving voicemails and call recordings in Morro Bay?
Definitely! With FlyNumber, all your voicemails, greetings, and call recordings are automatically saved to the cloud. This feature is great for businesses in Morro Bay that want to maintain customer service excellence by reviewing calls and ensuring all guest interactions meet your high standards.
How can I ensure that my Morro Bay art gallery receives calls only during my operating hours?
