Contact Methods Overview
The Contact Methods section is where you manage all the ways calls can be handled in your phone system. This includes:
App Configurations
The App Configurations tab shows all users who have the phone system app configured. Here you can manage app settings like inbound/outbound calling options and recording preferences.
SIP Accounts
These are phone system SIP accounts ($14.95/mo add-on). Not to be confused with FlyNumber SIP, the SIP credentials every FlyNumber gets in the panel without the phone system β see Do I need the phone system?.
PSTN Forwarding
This is forwarding inside the phone system. Without the phone system, set the number's Call Handling to Forward to Phone Number β see Do I need the phone system?.
SIP Forwarding
SIP Forwarding connects your FlyNumber directly to an external SIP address or URIβlike your own PBX, a VoIP provider, or any SIP-enabled system. Unlike PSTN forwarding which sends calls to regular phone numbers, SIP forwarding keeps everything digital, often resulting in better audio quality and more flexibility.
Email Contact Methods
The Email tab allows you to configure email addresses that will receive system notifications, voicemails, and call recordings. These email contact methods are used throughout the system whenever you need to send notifications or recordings to users.
